 Somchai  Amornyotin, MD, FRCAT, is currently Associate Professor of anesthesiology at Department of Anesthesiology and Siriraj GI Endoscopy Center,   Faculty of  Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok. He qualified graduation in medicine in 1989, and completed residency in   anesthesiology in 1996. He is certified by  Thai Boards of Family Medicine and anesthesiology. He has held various academic positions in anesthesiology. He has special interest in anesthesia for gastrointestinal  endoscopy, TIVA, TCI, ambulatory anesthesia, airway management, and acute postoperative pain management.
 Dr Somchai has won various awards and decorations in the field of research and innovation. He has been a member of editorial and review boards of numerous scientific  journals, and has been an author of many, book chapters and numerous research papers.
