Tip of endotracheal tube showing the cause of ‘decreased oscillatory movements’in a patient on high frequency oscillator. The lack of HME filter along with high air flows contributes to drying of secretions which cause partial airway obstruction. It usually leads to rise in PaCO2 and ‘loss of patient shakes’.
